Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Radiation Therapist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 12 / 15 / 2025 Duration : 12 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Job Title : Radiation Therapist – Oncology Department Contract Length : 13 Weeks Shift : Days – 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM (8-hour shifts) Position Overview : We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join our Oncology Department . The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical skills in radiation therapy, a solid understanding of oncology care, and the ability to deliver precise, high-quality treatment while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Key Responsibilities : Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients in accordance with established protocols. Accurately operate radiation therapy equipment, including TrueBeam systems . Work collaboratively with oncologists, physicists, and nurses to ensure effective and safe treatment delivery. Monitor and document patient reactions to treatment, adjusting care as needed. Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and institutional regulations . Ensure radiation safety standards and infection control practices are consistently followed. Educate patients and families regarding treatment procedures and side effects.
