Aviation Captain : Pilot - in - Command

Pilot Captain Position

Position Purpose : Act as Captain (pilot-in-command) on Home Depot owned / leased aircraft. May hold Captain qualification on one (1) or two (2) types of aircraft. As pilot-in-command, he / she is responsible for the safety, security, and comfort of passengers and crew.

Key Responsibilities :

• Function as Pilot in Command on Home Depot aircraft for the purpose of maintaining a high degree of technical competence and awareness of safe aircraft operations, anywhere in the world that includes the United States, Canada, Mexico and other international destinations.
• Must be able to fully perform all flight related duties. Provide guidance to flight personnel to assure safe, efficient and coordinated use of corporate aircraft.
• Responsible for the conduct of safe flight operations and the compliance of all applicable FAA regulations, as well as internal Home Depot policies.
• Maintain an understanding of the normal procedures, emergency operating procedures and all operating systems of the aircraft.
• Responsible for coordination and completion of all phases of assigned trips utilizing all available resources.
• Ensure that all members of assigned crew are fully qualified, properly rested, and prepared for flight.
• Flight follow with Flight Operations, communicating estimated times of arrival at destination, actual times of arrival, and status of the aircraft, crew, and passengers.
• Train co pilots to assist them in preparing for possible future Captain openings.
