A company is looking for a Health Educator I to provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed services to immigrant survivors of torture and human rights violations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide case management and care coordination for clients to meet their comprehensive needs
Conduct intake assessments and manage client referrals, including tracking data and scheduling intakes
Organize and facilitate health education and wellness groups, and provide supportive counseling
Required Qualifications
LMSW (or MSW intending to obtain license within the next 6 months)
1-2 years of experience in trauma-informed counseling and case management for vulnerable populations preferred
1-2 years of nonprofit sector experience related to human rights, global health, and / or immigration preferred
Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
Demonstrated cultural competency and interest in strengths-based case management and trauma-informed care
