Responsibilities Position is in a 21-bed Pediatric ICU within a hospital setting Patient population includes critically ill or injured children with both medical and surgical needs including cardiac, neurologic, pulmonary, organ transplant, and ECMO cases Requires care for cardiac stepdown and telemetry patients Uses Epic EMR system and telemetry monitoring equipment Night shifts scheduled as 3x12 hours per week from 7 : 00pm to 7 : 30am, with every other weekend and some holidays required Travelers are the first to float and may be assigned to multiple units or locations as needed Provide comprehensive, family-centered care for pediatric patients with complex critical needs Work as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team in a Magnet-designated, state-of-the-art hospital Tele-exam must be passed within two attempts or remedial training is required before a third Holiday rotation is required, and specific time off requests are reviewed by management First-time travelers may be accepted in some units Orientation schedule varies and typically lasts about one week Parking on-site requires a permit; alternative transportation options are available Requirements Active Wisconsin or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Current BLS and PALS certifications from American Heart Association required Minimum of two years PICU acute care experience within the last three years required Previous CVICU and cardiac step down experience required Basic arrhythmia and telemetry skills required Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start with strict pass / fail criteria Epic EMR experience required within the past 12 months preferred Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility Locals are not accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-611049.
