SouthCoast Seeks For A Full-Time Cardiac Scheduling Coordinator  For Our Cardiology Department

Position Summary :

Responsible for making and scheduling diagnostic appointments in an efficient and timely manner.  Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits. Assist in identifying problems and ensures that the insurance is accurate on the patient account.  Assures insurance information and appropriate referrals have been completely and accurately obtained.

Qualifications :

• Ability to communicate clearly and speak concisely.
• Ability to exercise professionalism in dealing with all levels of personnel, patients, and patients' families.
• Ability in using multi-line telephone system.
• Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette.
• Knowledge of customer service principles.

Responsibilities :

Education / Experience :   High School Diploma. At least one year work experience in a medical office / imaging department setting. Prior switchboard operations experience preferred.  Knowledge of medical terminology desired. Word processing and computer experience.
