The Preferred Candidate :
Must have a degree in Civil EngineeringMust have 8+ years of relevant progressive experienceCurrently holds a P.E.Can successfully manage a Civil Engineering project from start to finishIs proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D PlusHas experience in Business Development and Client ManagementDUTIES
Plan, coordinate and direct larger and / or more complex engineering projectsLead and direct technical projects with overall responsibility for technical accuracy and appropriatenessManage / solve technically complex problems, at times using advanced techniques and practicesProposal preparation and direct follow throughContract administrationResponsible for scheduling, productivity, and budget of projectsEnsure consistent, professional written and verbal communication with clients, contractors and project team membersWork with and assist other disciplines on multi-discipline projectsServe as technical specialist and staff advisorDevelop staff and project engineersRecognize, initiate and advance business development opportunitiesDevelop and maintain client relationshipsStrive to make each project profitableQUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringExperience
8+ years of relevant progressive experienceCertification
Professional Engineer's License is requiredAdditional Requirements
Must possess a valid driver's license, ability to safely operate a motor vehicleMust possess advanced reading, writing and math skillsMust be comfortable communicating with the publicMust possess intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs, and the ability to learn company / client softwareMust be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environmentsWork is performed both in the office and in the field, which may include all weather conditions, construction sites and / or difficult terrain, and extensive standing and walking.
