POSITION OVERVIEW
To perform repairs, maintenance and installations on a variety of electrical and lighting systems.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
\n
- Diagnose and troubleshoot Electrical, Lighting and Controls Systems.
\n
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.\n
Day-to-day communications with Production Teams and Electrical Service Contractors.\n
Assist in reviewing Electrical systems for optimal energy efficiency with emphasis on cost saving initiatives.\n
Ensure adherence to electrical code and record keeping, working closely with EHS team.\n
Communicating with supply vendors to order materials and equipment.\n
Update electrical maintenance programs when needed.\n
Independently perform electrical installations as needed\n
Assist with managing subcontracted electrical work as needed.\n
Assist with the monitoring of electrical outages and ensure timely remediation.\n
Assist with directing and inspecting electrical apprentice work to develop skills and knowledge of electrical systems.\n
Other duties as assigned.\n \n

WHAT TO BRING
\n
Highschool Diploma or equivalent.\n
4+ years of experience working in the electrical industry.\n
Journeyman Electrician license.\n
Ability to stand, remain stationary, and / or move about for 8 hours.\n
Physical capability of repetitive lifting of up to 40 lbs.\n
Ability to frequently complete physical tasks such as repetitive bending, reaching, squatting or otherwise positioning the body to load and unload materials from racks, skids and carts of varying heights.\n
Other physical requirements may apply.\n
Ability to work non-standard hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.\n
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.\n \n
WHAT WILL HELP
\n
6+ years of experience working as an electrician.\n
Effective time management skills.\n
Basic understanding of quoting, budgets and invoicing.\n
Basic understanding of Lighting Controls.\n
Ability to multi-task.\n
Excellent customer relations and interpersonal skills.\n
Mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting skills.\n \n
