The Role

As the Program Director of Pediatric Surgery , you will provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and business development for our growing program. You’ll drive excellence across clinical operations, accreditation standards, and outreach initiatives—ensuring that children and families receive the highest level of care.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the clinical workflow for pediatric surgery across inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards including NICU, PICU, CSV, and NSQIP-Peds.
  • Lead strategic planning, market analysis, and business development for pediatric surgical services.
  • Partner with hospital and system leadership to implement growth initiatives and expand service lines.
  • Represent University Health in the community, building relationships with referring providers and partner organizations .
  • Lead and mentor a team of pediatric surgery program personnel, fostering a culture of excellence, respect, and teamwork.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of progressive management experience in healthcare operations, with at least 3 years in pediatric or surgical services .
  • Clinical operations and business development experience strongly preferred.
  • RN license (Texas) preferred but not required. Healthcare management certification a plus.
