Responsibilities

  • Directs and guides management and hourly associates on customer service approaches by modeling excellent service and ensuring customer needs and issues are resolved within company guidelines and standards.
  • Drive and supervise the facility's financial performance by achieving budgeted sales, wages, and expenses; assist the store manager in leading the management team to control costs and align staffing with sales; build and implement plans to improve financial performance; develop budgets and analyze economic trends and community needs for forecasting.
  • Participate in community outreach and advocate for associates to engage with the community; establish and maintain relationships with key community groups and represent the company following media guidelines and promoting company programs and sustainability efforts.
  • Direct facility operations by setting service level standards, developing effective merchandise presentation, pricing, signage, in-stock positions, and requesting merchandise to meet community needs; provide direction on executing company programs and strategic initiatives while ensuring quality assurance and safety reviews.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for management and hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognizing performance, delegating objectives, and developing qualified staff to support growth.
  • Drive the execution of multiple business plans by identifying customer and operational needs, communicating plans, removing obstacles, allocating resources, measuring performance, and developing contingency plans and continuous learning.
  • Foster a team-based environment, set performance expectations, conduct regular evaluations, provide coaching and rewards, and promote a culture of belonging.
  • Promote company policies, ethics, integrity, and the Open Door Policy; evaluate plans and initiatives for efficiency and cost-effectiveness; support community outreach events.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$100,000.00 plus differential where applicable; additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses and location-based pay factors.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1 year of general management experience with financial accountability.
  • 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervising 10 associates; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervising 10 associates.
  • For facilities that sell ammunition or firearms, state-specific requirements or background checks may apply, including a state Certificate of Eligibility or CBC and training as applicable.
  • Associates must attend and complete job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership (Live Better U and Bellevue University) with experience supervising 20 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
