Job Description

We have an immediate opening for CNC Lathe machinist who can set up and operate the CNC Lathe and also program the lathe using G & M codes or by utilizing Mastercam.

Job Responsibilities :

Operate CNC lathes to produce precision parts and components according to specifications
Program CNC machines using CAD / CAM software and G-code
Set up and adjust tools, fixtures, and materials for machining operations
Monitor machining processes and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements
Perform routine maintenance on CNC lathes and related equipment
Conduct quality control checks and measurements using precision instruments
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machining processes or equipment
Optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity and reduce waste
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and implement new machining strategies
Train and mentor junior machinists and operators as needed
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols
Document production data, machine settings, and quality control results
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in CNC technology

Skills Required :

Proven experience as a CNC lathe machinist and programmer, minimum 3-5 years

Proficiency in programming CNC machines using G-code and CAD / CAM software

Strong understanding of machining principles, metal properties, and cutting tool technology

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and gauges

Knowledge of quality control procedures and ISO standards

Familiarity with various materials used in machining (e.g., steel, aluminum, plastics)

Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform complex calculations

Good communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Willingness to work flexible hours, including possible overtime or shifts

Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or relevant certifications preferred
