Position Summary

Under the guidance of a Nurse Leader, the Patient Care Technician (PCT) plays a vital role in supporting patient care by performing both direct and indirect patient care activities. This essential position involves collaboration with the care team to ensure a safe and efficient environment while contributing to a positive patient experience.

The role requires you to operate in a high-activity environment with multiple priorities, necessitating flexibility in your scheduling. In addition to the immediate responsibilities, there are opportunities for career advancement through a clinical ladder based on your experience, skill set, and certifications.

Qualifications

• No prior experience necessary; comprehensive training will be provided on-site.
• Successful completion of PCT-specific orientation.
• Certification as a BLS Provider from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 60 days of your hire or transfer date.
• A high school diploma or GED is preferred .
• Relevant experience in an acute care hospital environment is preferred .
• Current certification as a BLS Provider from AHA is preferred .
• Certification as a CNA, CPCT / A, EMT, or CMA is preferred for advancement in the clinical ladder.
