- Coordinator Reports To : Director of Residential Services Position : Full-Time, Non-Exempt Location : Burlington Office, Mobile Salary Range : Based on experience Position Summary The Coordinator role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the highest quality of care and compliance for residents in either the Burlington or Kenosha houses.
- This role requires excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- On-Call Responsibilities The Coordinator is required to serve as the 7-day on-call manager for the assigned houses every other week.
- Getting hours covered Managing call-ins Responding to emergency needs for residents (Walk-in or ER needs) Supporting staff members Medical Care and Needs The Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of resident medical care and needs.
- Appointments Documentation and communication of any changes or needs Maintaining appointment schedules and ensuring all appointments are attended as suggested by medical personnel Medications and Equipment Medical Equipment Care (Braces, CPAPs, nebulizers, mouthguards, etc.) Medical Administration Records (MARs) are kept up-to-date and corrected each month Medications are ordered and maintained appropriately Medication cabinets are kept orderly State Regulation and Compliance Monthly Weights tracked Fire and Tornado Drills Obtaining Water Temps Ensuring Extinguisher tags are on, Emergency lighting is functional, CO detectors are checked, Smoke Alarms are checked, fridge and freezers have thermometers and temps are within appropriate ranges Resident binder and house documentation is accurate and organized Individualized Service Plans are updated every six months and signatures are obtained State Survey Compliance Documentation Incident Report Follow Up Accuracy of Records (MARs, Appointment Logs) Maintaining House and Resident Needs The Coordinator ensures the smooth operation of the houses and attends to resident needs.
- Management of cleaning supplies and SAM’s Club orders Grocery ordering and watching for overstock, labeling, etc.
- Addressing general house needs as they arise Ensuring resident needs are met with appropriate documentation of any financial transactions, including larger spend-down needs or planned shopping trips Requesting money for residents, ahead of time, if the need exceeds $20 Communicating general maintenance needs to the director Vehicle Maintenance Ensuring vehicles have gas Scheduling oil changes Scheduling other maintenance needs Weekly Communications and Activities The Coordinator is responsible for organizing and communicating house activities and general postings.
General postings (Activities, Memos, etc.) Organizing and planning outings for the homes Activities communicated with staff and posted Changing over posted calendar boards Maintaining records for menu and activities Managing Employees In-House training for new caregivers House pop-ins :
