Job descriptionBachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (advanced degree preferred) and direct experience applying said degree(s) Proven experience (5+ years) as a Governess, Private Educator, or high-level Nanny with young children Knowledge of Montessori and / or International Baccalaureate curriculum Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with principals / guardians on learning objectives Warm, grounded presence with demonstrated humility, adaptability, and emotional intelligence Ability to travel up to 40–45% of the year, both domestically and internationally CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Valid driver’s license and passport Collaborate with the female principal to design and adjust curriculum tailored to the child’s development Provide daily enrichment activities that foster intellectual, social, and emotional growth Establish and reinforce consistent, respectful discipline and boundaries Ensure seamless continuity of routines and education during travel, demonstrating flexibility in dynamic settings Work collaboratively with parents and household staff to align on routines and expectations Maintain absolute confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of the role Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Psychology, or related field Multilingual ability (French, Spanish, or Mandarin highly desirable) Experience supporting international travel and cross-cultural exposure for children Background in enrichment areas such as music, art, or sports coaching Prior experience in private households or UHNW family settings Confidence with household technology and organizational systems
