Automation Engineer
Location : Onsite, 5 days / week (with flexibility for family and life needs)
Travel : Up to 25% (mostly between California and Arizona)
Salary : Flexible. Targeting $130K / year or $60–$65 / hr, depending on experience
Start Date : Urgent need, process could be completed within two weeks
What You’ll Do
Program Fanuc robots (Fanuc certifications strongly preferred)
Build and integrate industrial automation cells (automotive industry experience is helpful but not required)
Program PLCs, primarily Allen-Bradley (other platforms acceptable)
Design mechanical systems using SolidWorks (license required)
Work from concept through GD&T and FEA-level design
Participate in full-cycle automation projects from design to build and deployment
Occasionally travel to client sites for installations or support
Qualifications
4+ years of experience in automation engineering
Hands-on experience with Fanuc robots and Allen-Bradley PLCs
Strong mechanical design background with SolidWorks (must have license)
Degree in Engineering preferred
Comfortable working onsite full-time and in a fast-paced, agile environment
Self-driven, proactive, and able to operate without micromanagement
Preferred Skills
Experience with electronics (basic circuit design or electrical consultation)
Experience with pneumatics (design or discussing requirements with customers)
