The Yardi Business Analyst will be responsible for functional stewardship of BMC's Yardi environment and related applications. This role supports teams by ensuring efficient use of Yardi, driving process improvements, managing reporting needs, and overseeing additional accounting software platforms such as Nexus and Juniper Square.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with business units to deliver efficient, best-practice solutions, minimize unnecessary customizations, and maintain alignment with system and business requirements.
The Analyst will provide day-to-day support to Yardi users and serve as a key partner in process improvement initiatives, including evaluating and implementing new modules, guiding system upgrades, and ensuring effective adoption across the business. While the primary focus is on Commercial and Accounting, the role will also provide backup coverage and selected responsibilities for the Multifamily team, ensuring consistent support across BMC's full Yardi environment.
Key requirements and responsibilities associated with this position are :
- Lead or assist in system upgrades and enhancements from the business perspective, including requirements gathering, User Acceptance Testing, training, and communications.
- Evaluate and implement new Yardi modules a nd other technology s olutions that improve efficiency and deliver measurable business value.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual Excel work, and improve system adoption.
- Provide frontline functional support for Yardi users, including intake and resolution of service requests.
- Maintain and configure system elements in Yardi such as groups, permissions, users, chart of accounts, account trees, attributes, GL accounts, properties, and property lists.
- Set up and maintain workflows, user and security related elements , and functional components ( e.g. tasks, reports, interfaces) within Yardi modules.
- Maintain existing custom reports and develop new reports to meet specified need s .
- Develop an in-depth understanding of system design decisions, data structure, reporting requirements, and processes.
- Collaborate with functional teams and consultants to ensure alignment with system best practices.
- Contribute input to the system roadmap and future platform enhancements.
- Maintain documentation of user permissions, menus, and system security settings.
- Stay current on Yardi system updates and communicate relevant changes to internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for automation and assist in implementing process improvements using data insights.
- Project manage software updates and business process reviews and improvement implementations .
- Support acquisition-related Yardi configuration and onboarding of new assets.
- Provide backup coverage and selected responsibilities for the Multifamily team to ensure consistent support across all portfolios.
- Administer and provide business -side support for other applications (e.g., Nexus, Juniper Square).
- Develop and maintain user training guides, SOPs, and documentation.
- Collaborate with Accounting leadership to ensure timely , accurate , and efficient reporting and analysis.
- Perform other duties as trained for and are qualified to do.

Bachelor's degree in accounting , Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience.3 + years of hands-on Yardi experience, with strong knowledge of Commercial , Accounting and Multifamily modules.Proficient level knowledge of building and maintaining custom reports in Yardi.Familiarity with accounting principles and workflows; prior accounting or finance experience is strongly preferred.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Ability to lead or support projects, including upgrades, enhancements, and new module implementations.General knowledge of SQL for data extraction and reporting .Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint ; familiarity with Nexus and / or Juniper Square a plus .P roject management experience.Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels.Self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.Collaborative team player.BMC's People First Commitment

The market-based pay range for this role is $75,000-$100,000 annually (plus additional bonus incentives), negotiable based on qualifications. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
