Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg float pool position requiring night shifts, OH or compact RN license, and at least two years of Med / Surg experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Med / Surg units of a hospital setting as part of the float pool
  • Patient population includes adults requiring medical and surgical care
  • Patient ratios are typically 1 : 4-5
  • Must float to equivalent or lower acuity units as needed
  • Schedule is three 12-hour night shifts per week (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM), with weekend and holiday coverage expected
  • EPIC is used for electronic health records
  • Responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care and monitoring in a hospital Med / Surg environment
  • Must quickly complete Ohio state fingerprinting requirements upon contract acceptance
  • Both local and travel candidates are accepted at the same rate
  • Former employees are eligible if they have been separated from the facility for at least six months
  • All requests for time off must be submitted with the initial application
  • Dress code and scrub color requirements will be provided upon assignment

  • Current OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
  • Minimum two years of Med / Surg RN experience required
  • BCLS certification required
  • Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring required
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • Two professional references required, including one from a managerial or supervisory role
