Job Mission

ASML is the world’s leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or microchips. This position is for a First Line Support Production Engineer to work in the Production Engineering department in Wilton Factory, CT. The candidate will work with cross-sector employees & teams to provide rapid responses to resolve engineering disturbance notices related. In addition, the candidate will perform engineering steps listed in the production operator dashboard (POD) to support output.

Job Description

Spends 75% of time in the Cleanroom supporting production processes and leading troubleshooting actions

Troubleshoot mechanical assembly, and tooling & test stand issues in a timely & efficient manner

Ability to use cleaning solvents safely, per EHS guidelines, to troubleshoot and remove product contamination

Prior CMM troubleshooting or familiarity with the tool is required

Support analysis on test data and derive conclusions

Develop OCAPs, Fishbones and troubleshooting guidelines

Support diagnostics qualification and implementation for production staff

Evaluate and disposition failed parts with proposed solutions

Support development of Manufacturing procedures and technical work instructions

Support design and document reviews for diagnostics

Support root cause analysis and cycle time investigations

Able to read mechanical and electrical drawings.

The employee is willing to provide occasional weekend coverage

The employee is required to work in a cleanroom environment :

full gowning (full body coveralls, hood, CR safety shoes, face mask, nitrile gloves and safety glasses. Working under ISO 9000 / 14000 standards).

Working around overhead cranes, fork trucks and motorized pallet movers.

Working with or around lasers; working with ladders; working on platforms; and working around chemicals.

Education & Work Experience

Master Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics or other technical engineering degrees with prior internship experience in production / manufacturing

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or other technical engineering degrees with 2+ years of experience in a technical production environment

Additional Skills & Work Experience

Must display a solid understanding of complicated manufacturing assemblies

Working knowledge of servo and mechanical control systems

Working knowledge with complicated multi-disciplinary (Electro-Mechanical) assemblies is a plus

Working knowledge of Unix / Linux / Python / or MATLAB software languages is a plus

Working knowledge of statistical process control and FMEA is a plus

Working knowledge of NX, Teamcenter, SAP and Twinscan software is a plus

Working knowledge with vacuum systems is a plus

The ability to troubleshoot optical surfaces against defined Scratch-Dig specs is a plus
