Job Title : Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)\nPosition Summary : \nThe OR RN is responsible for assessing patient needs before and during surgical procedures, ensuring safety, and delivering individualized perioperative care. This role provides leadership to the surgical team, coordinates patient care, and fosters effective communication among staff, patients, and families.\nKey Responsibilities : \n\n\nPatient Care (40%) – Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for surgical patients, maintaining a strong focus on patient safety.\n\n\nOR Management (30%) – Supervise room activity, coordinate schedule changes, prepare equipment and supplies, assist anesthesia, and maintain the sterile field.\n\n\nCommunication (20%) – Collaborate effectively with patients, families, surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff.\n\n\nProfessional Development (10%) – Engage in continuing education, attend staff meetings, and support team growth through preceptorship and leadership opportunities.\n\n\nCore Competencies : \n\n\nStrong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills\n\n\nLeadership and team coordination\n\n\nEffective communication and collaboration\n\n\nCommitment to safety and quality care\n\n
