Executive Director Of Easterseals Northwest Ohio

Location : Bowling Green, Ohio

Pay : Up to $145,000 Based On Qualifications And Experience.

Shift : Monday - Friday 8a-5p Flex

Job Summary :

The Executive Director (ED) will provide visionary leadership and overall management oversight of all programming

operations within the organization. The ED must be a results driven visionary leader committed to enhancing the

overall quality and sustainability of the organization. The ED will work closely with the executive team to ensure the

organization is aligned with the strategic direction of the network. The ED will collaborate with staff, support functions,

and external stakeholders to maintain program integrity, enhance service outcomes, and promote a culture of

inclusivity and support driven by the network’s values. The ED will oversee the development and implementation of

effective operational policies / procedure, ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards, and work toward

continuous improvement to elevate the lives of those served through the organization.

Additionally, the ED will serve as the face and advocate for the organization, building and maintaining strong

relationships with key stakeholders including families, community leaders, government agencies, donors, other service

providers and the board. In collaboration with the CEO, the ED will cultivate board engagement in fundraising efforts

and strategic initiatives to drive the organization’s growth and sustainability. The ED will oversee in the implementation

of the strategic plan, program development and delivery, staff management, financial oversight, community

engagement, fundraising, and external relations for the organization. The ED must have a deep understanding of the

support and services provided by the organization and ensure a stellar reputation is maintained. The ED must be a

collaborative leader with a passion for innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide leadership in developing and executing of the strategic plan.
  • Ensure the organization’s purpose and values are upheld throughout the entire organization
  • Lead the creation of short and long-term program plans, as well as key performance indicators to measure

success.

  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and assessment of all services to ensure they meet regulatory
  • standards, best practices, and the needs of the individuals served.

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of staff, fostering a culture of quality, respect, innovation, stewardship,
  • diversity, and accountability.

  • Ensure that internal policies, procedures, and practices comply with industry standards, and regulatory
  • guidelines, and the organization’s purpose

  • Develop systems to ensure the organization’s operations are cost-effective, efficient, and aligned with the
  • strategic direction of the network

  • Ensure that all services and supports are delivered in a person center, high quality manner.
  • Monitor and evaluate program outcomes and adjust as necessary.
  • Ensure all services comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain appropriate accreditation and certifications as required.
  • Prepare, monitor, and manage the organization’s annual budget ensuring resources are allocated equitably to
  • meet the goals and objectives of the organization

  • Work to mitigate any risk related to the organization
  • In conjunction with the development department, execute donor engagement / cultivation strategies, set by the
  • Chief Community Impact Officer, resulting in individual donations and corporate sponsorships.

  • Manage caseload by building and maintaining relationships with donors, resulting in financial commitments
  • and long-term engagement.

  • Engage in local, regional, and national networks to keep abreast of trends, funding opportunities, and emerging
  • best practices in the field

  • Represent the organization to external stakeholders, including media and policymakers.
  • Act as the primary representative and passionate advocate for the organization, fostering strong relationships,
  • including community partners, media, policymakers, and the community.

  • Serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization, enhancing its visibility and reputation in the
  • community.

  • Serve as a key partner to the Network’s Chief Community Impact Officer in executing strategic donor
  • engagement and community outreach initiatives, ensuring alignment with fundraising balance score card goals

    and metrics.

  • Attend and participate in development’s annual strategic planning session.
  • Within 30 days of hire, complete all training required for a Director of Operations in the state of Ohio.
  • All other duties assigned
  • Qualifications :

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Social Work, Psychology or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of leadership and supervision experience, with 3 years in an executive or senior
  • management role.

  • Minimum of one year of full-time paid work experience with supervision of employees, development, oversight,
  • and supervision of programs or services and financial management of an organization.

  • Ability to pass criminal / registry background checks and other required screenings - Experience with Microsoft software
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to communicate with multiple individuals in their preferred mode of communication
  • Ability to perform light to moderate lifting when needed
  • Possession of valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and proof of auto insurance.
  • Meet or exceed all of Ohio’s Department of Developmental Disabilities requirements for a Director of Operations.
  • Work Environment / Conditions :

    The Executive Director will work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and mission-driven environment dedicated to enhancing the

    lives of the individuals supported. The role requires a high degree of leadership, problem-solving, and collaboration, and

    the Executive Director will interact with staff, board members, community partners, and external stakeholders on a

    regular basis. The work environment is characterized by a strong commitment to inclusivity, innovation, and service

    excellence.

    This position involves both office-based work and occasional travel to community locations, meetings, and events. The

    Executive Director must be able to adapt to a range of operational demands, balancing strategic decision-making with

    hands-on leadership. As the primary spokesperson for the organization, the ED may be required to represent the

    organization at public forums, advocacy events, and with local or state agencies. Due to the nature of the services

    provided, the Executive Director must be prepared to address sensitive issues involving individuals served and their

    families with empathy, integrity, and professionalism. The role requires a flexible, adaptable approach, as the needs of

    the individuals served, and the organization may evolve over time. Occasional evening and weekend work may be

    required to attend meetings, fundraising events, or community outreach initiatives
