About this Role : The Transitional Housing Specialist will coordinate and assure continuity of services necessary for a clients success in the Transitional Housing Program through case management and counseling. Provide assessment, monitoring, planning, linkage and advocacy for the most appropriate services for clients enrolled. Effectively maintain and manage assigned caseload contingent on needs, strengths, and abilities of the client served. Adheres to all agency and grant requirements.The Crisis Center for South Suburbia is a non-profit community organization that provides emergency shelter and other essential services for individuals and families victimized by domestic violence and addresses the societal issues that contribute to domestic violence.
Schedule : Monday Friday 8 : 30am-4 : 30pm Occasional Evenings & Weekends

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Program Specific Duties :
General and Administrative :
1. Successfully complete 40 hours of ILCADV domestic violence training; remain current in the field of domestic violence by attending in-services, workshops, etc. relevant to the field.
2. Follow all CCSS policies and procedures for client safety, confidentiality and services; work consistently and responsibly with staff, volunteers and interns; maintain appropriate boundaries with clients.
3. Assist Director of Community Services in completion of Quarterly and Semi-Annual funder reports.
4. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Community Services.
Education Required : Bachelor's Degree
Experience Required :
3-5 years of experience working with youth, domestic violence survivors, or community education programs.
Experience in outreach, program coordination, or public speaking is preferred.
Strong organizational, project management, and workflow skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

This position is based in the south suburban Chicago area, providing convenient access to schools and community partners within the region.
