Overview

Marquette General Hospital is seeking a skilled Travel Echocardiography Technologist to join its Cardiology Department. This role is ideal for professionals who are detail-oriented, compassionate, and experienced in performing diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures.

Responsibilities

Perform echocardiograms and related diagnostic ultrasound procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.

Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring safety and comfort.

Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images.

Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare providers to support accurate diagnoses.

Document findings and maintain patient records in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.

Ensure proper care, calibration, and maintenance of ultrasound equipment.

Adhere to infection control, patient confidentiality, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification required.

Active state licensure in Michigan (or eligibility to obtain).

Minimum of 2 years recent echocardiography experience preferred.

Strong technical knowledge of echocardiography systems and protocols.

Excellent communication and patient care skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
