Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled High Risk OB Ultrasound Tech for a 8 week travel assignment in Brooklyn Heights, NY. Required Qualifications :
- Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program
- Minimum of one year of experience as a High-Risk OB Ultrasound Tech
- Current BLS Certification (AHA / ARC)
- Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations
- Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
Preferred Qualifications :
Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (ARDMS)Current ARRT Certification in SonographyOther certifications or licenses may be required for this positionSummary :
The High-Risk OB Ultrasound Tech specializes in performing invasive and non-invasive obstetric and gynecological ultrasound procedures to assist in diagnosing and managing high-risk pregnancies. They ensure accurate, high-quality imaging, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and provide detailed findings to consulting providers while prioritizing patient education, safety, and comfort.
Essential Work Functions :
Assist in implementing and adjusting patient treatment plans under the guidance of physicians or RRTsExamine and interview patients with breathing and / or cardiopulmonary disordersPerform diagnostics tests, such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood / sputum samplesAdminister respiratory treatments, including aerosol medications and oxygen therapySet up and monitor equipment to ensure the patient is receiving the correct amount of oxygen at the correct rateObserve and record patient status and progressEducate patients and / or family members on how to properly take medication and use equipmentPerform other duties as assigned within the scope of CRT practiceRequired Essential Skills :
Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skillsThe ability to read, write, & communicate in the English language is requiredAbility to read / comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skillsPhysical Abilities - Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bendingInterpersonal Skills - To work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical / Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing / pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and / or using department equipment.Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
