Job Summary
The Material Handler will be responsible for managing the flow of materials, assisting in the storage, organization, and distribution of precast concrete components, ensuring the production team has the necessary materials for operations, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
Essential Functions
- Committed to serve. Load and unload raw materials, precast components, and finished products.
- Safety always wins. Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and hoists.
- Determined. Organize and maintain inventory in the warehouse, ensuring proper labeling, storage, and rotation of materials.
- Results. Matter. Transport materials to various production areas in a timely and efficient manner.
- Inspect materials for quality and report any damage or discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Ownership and caring. Assist in preparing and staging materials for production runs, ensuring all items are available and ready for use.
- Work closely with production staff to meet daily production schedules.
- Protect family and friends. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following safety guidelines and reporting hazards.
- Respect and engage. Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that all materials meet the required specifications.
- Mastery. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on material handling equipment as needed.
- Measurement. Document and track materials movement in the inventory system.
Requirements, Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in material handling, preferably in a precast or construction environment.Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment.Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Basic math skills and the a
