About The Position
Weekly Pay $65.62 / hour SLP at UC Davis Health Rehab Hospital
- Provide evaluation and treatment for patients with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting.
- Develop and implement personalized, evidence-based therapy plans to improve patient independence and quality of life.
- Deliver direct therapy services to a diverse patient population, including those with traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury (SCI), and orthopedic trauma.
- Work closely with an interdisciplinary team (PTs, OTs, nurses, physicians) to coordinate care and achieve rehabilitation goals.
- Educate patients, families, and staff on therapeutic techniques, compensatory strategies, and discharge planning.
- Accurately document assessments, treatments, and patient progress using the Cerner EHR system.
- Participate in team conferences, care planning meetings, and discharge coordination.
- Maintain California SLP license and (preferably) ASHA CCC-SLP certification; BLS certification preferred.
- Utilize strong clinical skills in dysphagia management, neuro rehab, and cognitive-linguistic therapy.
- Exhibit strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
- Demonstrate flexibility, teamwork, and a passion for patient-centered rehabilitation care within an academic health environment.
