What You Are Good At
Design Management
- Sets expectations with the project team and prioritize activities
- Creates and maintain design schedules
- Communicates status and agreements with project team
- Reviews work with UX managers, keep them updated on project status and escalates items appropriately
Design Expertise and Execution
Facilitates collaborative design sessions including sketching and ideationTakes a systematic approach to designing interfaces, ensuring consistency across experiencesCreates design artifacts (sketch, user flows, service blueprints, journey maps, wireframes, or prototypes) with a multi-faceted team, considering how digital, physical, and service channels work togetherEffectively articulates design solutions with business partners, leading reviews and driving decisions, understanding that great designs are achieved iterativelyParticipates and supports research effortsCommits to improving our process and methods with an emphasis on both effectiveness and efficiencyTeamwork, Collaboration and Engagement
Enthusiastic about solving complex problemsShows up for colleagues, product team members, and business partners with a team-first, can-do attitudeCollaborates with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and other stakeholders to craft solutions that meet business objectives and user needs while considering technical constraintsListens to feedback and helps guide the deliveryEvolving design mindset that is not rigidly fixed when presented with new informationPassionate about the team, our mission and the needs of our partners and usersRequired Qualifications
3-5 years of design experience on digital products and in a financial services environment with in-depth understanding of technology applications, business architecture, client and representative experience, and project managementSolid design skills rooted in user-centered design practices with a good understanding of frameworks such as Jobs-to-be-Done and Behavioral EconomicsExperience working with and designing for the Salesforce ecosystemBackground in Enterprise Environments, Business and IT Strategy, Agile, Lean, Process Design, Program Management, CRM processes and technologiesOutstanding verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organizationDemonstrated ability to communicate design rationale that connects user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibilityAbility to track and manage multiple projectsPreferred Qualifications
Good understanding and / or experience with financial services regulationsBA / BFAKnowledge of Schwab products, services and support systemsKnowledge of Agile methods and processesComfort in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment, with a positive attitude and solid work ethicSelf-starter with outstanding organizational skillsWhat’s in it for you
