Job descriptionConduct physical examinations of the feet and lower extremities Develop treatment plans, which may include prescribing medications, orthotics, or surgical interventions Perform surgical procedures such as arthroscopy, joint replacement, and corrective surgeries Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of foot and ankle disorders Educate patients on conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures Participate in a 1 : 5 call coverage Relocation assistance Loan forgiveness program Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental and vision Malpractice coverage J-1 to H-1 immigration legal support Not Applicable Full-time Health Care Provider Hospitals and Health Care
Overview
The Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking a skilled Foot and Ankle Surgeon for a full-time position at Champlain Valley Physician’s Hospital in Plattsburgh, NY. This role requires a strong background in orthopedic surgery, excellent surgical skills, and a commitment to patient care and safety.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
- Completion of an accredited Foot & Ankle Orthopedic Fellowship Program
- Valid and unrestricted NY license (or ability to obtain post hire)
- Familiarity with EPIC platform is preferred
