The Mission of the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH) is to protect and promote the health of all San Franciscans. SFDPH strives to achieve its mission through the work of multiple divisions - the San Francisco Health Network, Population Health, Behavioral Health Services, and Administration. The San Francisco Health Network is the City’s only complete system of care and has locations throughout the City, including Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center, Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center, and over 15 primary care health centers. The Population Health Division (PHD) provides core public health services for the City and County of San Francisco : health protection, health promotion, disease and injury prevention, and disaster preparedness and response. Behavioral Health Services operates in conjunction with SFHN and provides a range of mental health and substance use treatment services.
The San Francisco Department of Public Health is implementing the Epic electronic health record system across the DPH Network to enhance care coordination and expand secure access to patient data for third-party partners. As part of this transformative effort, we are seeking two Project Directors to lead critical initiatives for the San Francisco Department of Public Health.
Job Description
Under the direction of theEHR Epic Program Director, the Epic Ambulatory & Outpatient Applications Manager and the Epic Inpatient Applications Manager will each lead a team of more than 10 IT and workflow professionals. These are direct staff management roles responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and long-term support of Epic applications across the SFDPH network.

Certification
Experience
One-year fulltime employment is equivalent to 2,000 hours (2,000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a 40-hour work week).
Education
An associate degree in computer science or a closely related field from an accredited college or university OR its equivalent in terms of total course credits / units [i.e., at least sixty (60) semester or ninety (90) quarter credits / units with a minimum of twenty (20) semester or thirty (30) quarter credits / units in computer science or a closely-related field].
One (1) year is equivalent to thirty (30) semester units / forty-five (45) quarter units with a minimum of 10 semester / 15 quarter units in computer science or a closely related field.
Applicants must meet the minimum qualification requirement by the final filing date unless otherwise noted.

Assessment Component
Candidates that meet the minimum qualifications will be invited to participate in an exam that is designed to measure the knowledge, skills, and abilities in job related areas which may include but not be limited to :
Behavioral Consistency Questionnaire (Weight : 100%)
Candidates must achieve a passing score on the exam in order to continue in the selection process and will be placed on the confidential eligible list in rank order according to their final score. Qualified applicants who apply to both 1070 Epic-Certified IT Project Director and 1070 IT Integration, Application Development, and ADS Manager will complete a single examination.
Additional selection processes may be conducted by the hiring department prior to making final hiring decisions.
Certification
The certification rule for the eligible list resulting from this examination will be the Rule of 10 Scores.

The duration of the eligible list resulting from this examination process will be 12 months and may be extended with the approval of the Human Resources Director.
