Insulator Metal Fabricator

Acuren is looking for an experienced Insulator Metal Fabricator. Insulators apply, remove and repair thermal and acoustical insulation using a variety of materials on all types of industrial equipment (e.g., duct piping, heat exchangers, tanks, vessels).

Responsibilities

• Insulation removal and installation
• Perform specific job functions as they relate to work orders
• Assist other technicians as required
• Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications to determine specification requirements
• Selecting, installing and securing insulation in accordance with technical specifications and equipment configuration
• Preparing insulating material for application to diverse surfaces, including the measurement and cutting of material and coverings to the required shape and dimension, and working around obstructions
• Installing vapour barriers and applying surface finishes such as metal cladding, canvas, plastic sheeting or cement
• Ensuring quantitative tasks are performed in a productive and efficient manner within the timelines identified by client demands
• Complying with site and corporate safety requirements
• Perform all tasks in accordance with quality production standards required by the industry
• The position will be a call-out style position, with up to 25% travel required

Other work duties as assigned.
