CDL A Licensed Driver

Schwend, Inc. is hiring CDL A Regional Liquid Tank Drivers in the Southeast. Drivers will be hauling molasses, clay slurry, soy oil, and salt brine in insulated and non-insulated smooth bore trailers that hold 5,500 to 7,000 gallons. This position requires drivers to have hazmat & tanker endorsements.

Mr. Charles and Mrs. Judi are now retired, but if you ever stop by our terminal in Dade City are you likely to see them around the office. Jeff (Judi and Charles son) took over the company after his parents retired and is now our company President and fearless leader! Over the last 47 years, we have built a strong customer base in the Southeast, hauling many types of agricultural products. We have grown some since 1976 and we now have a total of 4 terminals! Due to our continuing growth, we are actively searching for professional, reliable, drivers to join our family! We are licensed to run all 48 states, but we primarily stay in the southeast.

Compensation :

• Average gross weekly pay : $1,100 - $1,400

Starts at 23% of the gross loadpay and works up to 25% of the gross load pay

Bonuses :

Sign-on Bonus : $5,000 paid in $100 increments per week over the course of a year

Additional Pay :

Nightly Per Diem : $30 / per night spent in truck

Goes directly to your paycheck and is not taxed

Holiday Pay : 6 holidays per year earned in1 / 2 days

1 day paid orientation at our Dade City, FL terminal

Paid $100-$150 depending on how long it takes

Pet policy : Dogs 20lbs or less are allowed(defer to recruiter if pets weight does not comply)

$250.00 pet deposit is required to be paid in full, upfront

Must have a safe, off-road location to store truck & trailer to qualify

Home Time, Route & Schedule :

Occasional weekend work may be required

Occasional runs outside of the southeast

More hands on than just bumping docks, but not as physically demanding as tarping a flatbed

Equipment :

Governed speed : 69 on cruise

Safe Driving Program : After 1-year of no moving violations we bump cruise up to 70mph and after 2-years of no moving violations we bump up to 72mph

Qualifications :

Liquid tanker experience preferred

Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen

Cannot have any history of refusing drug screening or have a record of failing a previous drug test

Hiring Area : Drivers must live in the northern half of FL (nothing southof Dade City), or within 75 miles of the following cities :

Kershaw, NC
