About the Role
iCapital is looking to hire a Cloud Systems Architect to join the Corporate Technology team. The Vice President Cloud Systems Architect role is a technical position which will support and help lead strategic projects on the Cloud Infrastructure team. This role will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure across our corporate environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in Azure infrastructure, Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, and disaster recovery, along with proven experience in leading engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Architect and oversee the deployment and management of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure, with a focus on Azure networking, servers, storage accounts, and virtual desktop infrastructure.
- Drive improvements in backup and recovery strategies, working with other departments including Compliance, Information Security, and Risk.
- Lead merger and acquisition projects to migrate other technology stacks into our tenant.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to cloud engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in cloud engineering within a large corporate environmentDeep expertise in Azure infrastructure (Windows servers, VPN Gateways, VNET Peering), Windows 365, and Azure Virtual DesktopStrong experience in networking fundamentals as it relates to cloud infrastructureKnowledge of public and private DNS architectureExpertise in interacting with Microsoft Graph and PowerShell.Familiar with enterprise-grade platforms for backup and recovery of IaaS infrastructure and Microsoft 365 dataAble to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex technical projectsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong documentation skills and ability to work independently while maintaining accountabilityBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related fieldFamiliar with APIs for cloud services including authentication, data exchange, and automation workflows is preferredLeadership experience is preferredExperience with enterprise licensing and subscription management is preferredKnowledge of incident response and disaster recovery planning is preferredExposure to hybrid cloud environments and vendor integrations is preferredNotes
The base salary range for this role is $170,000 to $190,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes an employer matched retirement plan, healthcare benefits, parental leave, and unlimited paid time off (PTO).
Work Arrangement
We believe the best ideas and innovation happen when we are together. Employees in this role will work in the office Monday-Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday.
