The Neuvera BHI Clinic Nurse provides specialized care under the supervision of the Neuvera Physician to patients with neurological conditions, supporting diagnostic procedures, treatment plans, and patient education. This role combines clinical expertise with compassionate communication to optimize outcomes for patients with epilepsy, stroke, migraines, movement disorders, dementia, and other neurological conditions.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intake, history review, and neurological symptom assessment
- Assist with patient scheduling and data collection for EEG studies and other neurodiagnostic procedures
- Administer treatment, medications, and monitor for adverse reactions
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle modifications
- Coordinate care with neurologists, EEG technologists, and allied health professionals
- Document clinical findings and interventions in the NeuroMatch and EMR systems
- Support triage and neurological symptom management
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training
- Support the clinical, technical, administrative, research, and affiliated teams as assigned
- Support Neuvera business partners as assigned
- Follow and uphold Neuvera BHI clinic policies, compliance guidelines, confidentiality, and code of conduct requirements
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Active RN license in CaliforniaBLS / CPR certification (required); ACLS preferredAt least 4 years of clinical experience (neurology or outpatient preferred)Familiarity with neurodiagnostic tools and terminology (e.g., EEG, seizure protocols)Strong communication and patient education skillsEMR proficiency (e.g., Epic, Cerner)Preferred Skills & Attributes
Experience with epilepsy, stroke, dementia, or movement disorder careComfort with adult or geriatric neurology populationsAbility to interpret basic neurodiagnostic resultsTeam-oriented, empathetic, and detail-focusedStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Google applications, and web-based platformsMultilingual abilities (a plus)Core Competencies
