Description of Job : Data Center Operations Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the work unit, and the supervision of ongoing staff at our Data Center facilities. This critical role is often a working manager who assigns, prioritizes, monitors, and maintains workflow while coaching, leading, and motivating staff. Responsible for delivering services assigned to the work unit, this role shares information across the team, to management, and across work units to accomplish tasks with an eye on continuous improvement. We are seeking a Data Center Operations Supervisor to function as a hands-on 'player-coach,' responsible for leading and developing the operations team. In this role, you will manage the daily workflow, set priorities, and mentor staff, including developing and implementing a team training program. This role makes key tactical decisions to support 24x7 operations, overseeing the reliable delivery and proper maintenance of all standard power and cooling services. You will also serve as a primary point of contact for operations, working to resolve tenant issues and maintain effective communication with vendors. In this position, you will be responsible for the data center's operational security, ensuring the team's adherence to all OIT, State, and Federal policies, while actively supporting the Data Center Operations Director on broader projects and initiatives.

Conditions of Employment : OIT employees must comply with any screening procedures in place at state entity locations where they might be required to perform work. This position may require travel within the specified geographic area, and to locations across the state as needed.
Supplemental Information : If this posting indicates 'remote from anywhere in CO' in the title, periodic reporting to the primary state work location designated for the position is required. All remote work must be performed in Colorado. While candidates from out of state will be considered for this role, the candidate selected for the position must relocate and reside in Colorado on the first day of their new position. A reasonable timeframe for relocation will be established on an individual basis, while considering business needs, and determining a start date.
