The Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O) employs a workforce of approximately 2,700 staff, represented by 15 collective negotiations agreements, and is responsible for institutional strategic initiatives and operations, which encompasses an expansive range of comprehensive service and business operations across the State of New Jersey. These include planning and construction, facilities, public safety and emergency operations, environmental health and safety, transportation, housing, and auxiliary / retail operations.

Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O). This position works under the direct supervision of the Captain or his / her designee, provides emergency medical treatment at the scene and during transport to a medical facility.

Among the key duties of this position are the following :

• Answers all calls for emergency medical treatment; drives ambulance to required location.
• Determines the nature and extent of injury and establishes priorities for and render emergency care.
• Prepares victims for transportation and cares for patient during trip to the appropriate

medical facility.

Provides non- emergency ambulance transportation of University personnel.
