Cloud DevSecOps Engineer at Regions Bank
Job Description
Contribute to the advancement of cloud strategy by developing, communicating, and implementing secure cloud CI / CD pipelines. Work closely with stakeholders to create fully automated pipelines that support DevSecOps best practices.
Primary Responsibilities
- Partner with engineers and IT staff to orchestrate code builds, quality and security analyses, deployments, and automated testing through CI / CD release candidacy pipelines
- Articulate business needs and translate them into technology solutions
- Model release candidate CI / CD pipelines to communicate the states and steps needed for each application and service
- Design and develop fully autonomous pipelines that facilitate cloud deployments, including automation of infrastructure, services, and application build and deployment
- Ensure all parts of the pipeline follow good software engineering practices, including automated tests and infrastructure tests
- Research new technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Implement highly scalable CI / CD platforms to support high change volumes and fast feedback
- Complete project work and contribute to the technical direction of various objectives
- Automate operational activities and tasks
- Respond to performance issues identified by alerts and related incidents on CI / CD platforms
- Build tools to reduce errors and improve customer experiences
- Assist in troubleshooting production issues and ensure clear documentation and metrics enable root cause analysis
- Develop and test Ansible playbooks, Terraform and Packer scripts to establish immutable infrastructure
- Work with Enterprise Architecture, InfoSec, Software Delivery, and QA to enable cloud migration using complete automation
- Serve as a resource for colleagues with less experience
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED and ten (10) years of related post?secondary education and / or experience in information security or ITPreferences
Six (6) years of relevant DevSecOps experienceAWS or Azure DevOps certificationExperience building / deploying cloud native applications (OpenShift, Azure Kubernetes Service)Experience observing real?time metrics in the pipeline and deployment strategies (Blue / Green, Canary)Experience with AWS or Azure cloud technologiesExperience with secrets management solutions like HashiCorp VaultFamiliarity with chaos engineering principles to identify weak links and suggest solutionsFamiliarity with tools that facilitate automation and integration into CI / CD pipelinesComfortable developing pipelines as code using YAML, Ansible, Terraform, etc.Skills And Competencies
Excellent communication skills and willingness to mentor developers and other team members in DevSecOpsDeep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, services, and architectural patterns, including VMs, managed services, containers, serverless, databases, security, and application servicesProficiency in PythonUnderstanding of Shift-Left principles and supporting technologiesHands?on experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Ansible, Terraform, Packer, Git, ServiceNow (a plus)Location and Remote Options
This position is currently offsite; associates must be within a reasonable driving distance of Birmingham, AL; Atlanta, GA; or Charlotte, NC. Associates will primarily work from home and may be expected to travel to site for meetings or events as needed.

Compensation
Pay ranges are job specific. The target range for this role is $143,999.35???$179,910.00?USD .
