About The Position

Job Title : Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (19 : 00 - 07 : 30)

Experience : Minimum 1 year of experience required

License : Valid state license required

Certifications : RPSGT or RRT with SDS, BLS

Must-Have :

Experience with adult and pediatric patients.

Ability to work a patient ratio of 1 : 2 for adults and 1 : 1 for pediatrics.

Experience with special equipment including Alice 6 G3 software and ResMed CPAP units.

Charting experience with Epic is required.

Description :

This role involves conducting polysomnography tests for patients of various age groups, including pediatrics and adults.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, scoring, and interpreting sleep studies.

Experience with Adult Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), Baseline Sleep Polysomnography, Home Sleep Tests, and Pediatric Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT) is important.

Candidates should be skilled in using BiPAP, CPAP, and conducting ECG and EEG monitoring.

Knowledge of respiratory events, arousal, and periodic limb movement is needed.

Patient education and infection control practices are essential components of this position.

The role requires flexibility in scheduling, including weekend shifts.

Candidates must be willing to float to adjacent units or facilities as needed.

References are required to verify supervisory experience within a comparable specialty or setting.
