Title of position : Electrical Designer I, II, III

Position type : Full Time

Pay range : $22-$33 per hour

Location : Westminster, Colorado

General Characteristics : Kahuna is looking to fill several positions ranging from entry level to experienced designers. Candidate should be able to proactively perform more advanced electrical design for midstream oil and gas projects with limited direction from experienced electrical designers and engineers. Project assignments will include designing electrical, instrument and control drawings. This position is NOT eligible for remote work.

Responsibilities :

• Able to develop complex electrical, instrument and control drawings to fit unique project situations using pre-developed tools with limited direction from experienced designers and engineers.
• Ability to assist with and review drawings of other less experienced designers and markup as necessary to represent a functional design with limited direction from experienced designers and engineers.
• Ability to do more complex 3D modeling using pre-developed tools with limited direction from experienced designers.
• Independently lead electrical design portion of mid-sized projects or multiple small projects.
• Broad understanding of electrical theory.
• Basic understanding of industrial components and equipment.
• Demonstrate full understanding of the workflow from beginning to end of a project.
• Coordinates with other design teams to ensure continuous flow of information concerning other engineering disciplines affecting the design execution of a project.
• Demonstrate strong ability to functionally communicate technical and administrative project / task details, including correspondence via emails and general documentation.
• Organize and prepare drawings for delivery maintaining security and confidentiality in a timely manner.
• Understand and be able to operate Navisworks Freedom / Manage / Simulate, allowing for basic integration between engineering and design, and lead model reviews as necessary for assigned projects.
• Demonstrate professional behavior around clients and vendors.
