Join our award-winning culture at PWGC! If you're looking to work on exciting projects with an amazing team, we are seeking an enthusiastic, engaged Senior Engineering Technician to complement our existing practice and support our growing Compliance team.

Summary

The near-term assignment includes work on energy design projects in the Compliance Unit, including site civil design for solar projects and battery storage, preparation of Site Plan and variance applications, preparation of curb cut and highway permits and supporting materials, and mining earthwork design and volume calculations.

Specific Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

Routine stormwater monitoring for industrial facilities, including site inspections and collection of stormwater samples

Site reconnaissance in support of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)

Phase II ESA field oversight and sampling

Prepare detailed design documents including plans, technical specifications, calculations, reports, and permits accurately and on time

Perform bid reviews and assist with proposal preparation

Communicate project status and potential issues with clients professionally

Interact with team members, project managers, hydrogeologists, administrative staff, subcontractors, contractors, and regulatory agencies

Monitor project budgets and deadlines; stay current on related technical issues

Maintain communication documentation and project files

Begin developing project management skills (proposal preparation, project scope / budget / schedule, etc.)

Assist with preparation of monthly invoices

Ability to travel to town board meetings as needed primarily central and western New York

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with rapid turnaround times to meet critical deadlines for municipal board submissions

Qualifications

Educational Requirements :

Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, or a related field

4-year Engineering Technology Degree with successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam

Associates degree with 10 + years of experience

Skill Requirements :

Proficient in AutoCAD. Nice to have Civil 3D

Proficient in SWPPP design and report preparation

Experience Requirements :

• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience
