OB / GYN Hospitalist Job Details

Position Type : Locum tenens OB / GYN physician hospitalist

Location : Elizabethtown, Kentucky (42701) – Kentucky healthcare jobs

Shift : 12-hour rotating shifts; 24 / 7 in-house coverage

Hours per Week : 36

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (option to extend)

OB / GYN Physician Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology (required)

Active Kentucky medical license or eligibility via IMLC compact (preferred)

Minimum 1 year of recent OB / GYN clinical experience (within last 12 months)

Strong ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Completion of prescreen questionnaire and CV in MM / YYYY format with all gaps explained

Hospitalist Responsibilities

Provide OB triage, admissions, inpatient care, and delivery for unassigned patients and private call coverage

Respond to emergencies in Labor & Delivery, antepartum, postpartum, ER, and consults for unassigned GYN emergencies

Assist in surgical procedures, including Cesarean sections

Collaborate with neonatology, nursing, and other clinical specialties to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Follow evidence-based clinical guidelines and hospital protocols
