Job description

The Full Service Technician is responsible for assembling and disassembling voltage regulators . Compliance with all safety requirements, product quality standards and company policies are essential functions of this role.

  • Read and follow work order instructions to ensure your rebuilding transformers to customer specifications.
  • Gather parts and tools that are needed for the work order and ensure they are in good working condition prior to usage.
  • Reconditioning and reassembly of regulators will include but is not limited to cleaning and inspecting components, replacing gaskets, changing the oil and basic repairs.
  • Perform quality checks and basic testing on units before they leave the workstation
  • Troubleshoots electrical and mechanical problems on voltage regulators and repair as needed.
  • Elevate complex issues such as larger voltages, unusual nameplates, and more complex testing issues.
  • Utilize shop equipment and tools safely and appropriately. Return equipment to proper location once usage is complete.
  • Usage of overhead crane and other material handling equipment may be needed to perform job tasks.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and orderly workstation.
  • Other assigned duties as needed.
  • HS Diploma / GED preferred.
  • Mechanical and transformer experience preferred.
  • OSHA10 certification preferred.
  • Material handling equipment experience (forklift, crane, etc.) preferred.
  • A proven track record in safety excellence is required.
  • Adheres to all safety and environmental compliance regulations set by the organization. Notify management immediately of any safety concerns, hazardous conditions, or injuries.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders.
  • Meet department and production goals set by supervisor.
  • Ensure product quality meets company and client expectations.
  • Possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, cooperative attitude, strong attention to detail and can work in a team environment.
  • Adheres to the company's employee handbook policies and embodies the organization's core values.
  • Ability to learn other department job functions and fill in as needed.
  • Complete company compliance and safety training when required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Physical requirements for this role include, but are not limited to the following :

Lift 50lbs floor to waist and waist to shoulder multiple times

  • Standing and walking for long durations
  • Bending, squatting, and kneeling multiple times for long durations
  • The ability to climb up and down a ladder multiple times
  • Balance and stand on a ladder with three points of contact for extended periods of time
  • Comfortable working in the heat and cold due to manufacturing facilities not being climate controlled
