Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of neuro / vascular IR experience for a 13-week day shift assignment, requiring ARRT-R, BLS, ACLS, and a MD state license.
Responsibilities
Work in an Interventional Radiology unit specializing in neuro and vascular proceduresDay shift schedule of 4x10 hour shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PMWeekend shifts and on-call coverage are required as scheduledOn-call requirement includes approximately 5 shifts per 8-week schedule covering weeknights, weekends, and holidaysFloating within the specialty may be required based on facility needsPatient caseload and specific procedures focus on neuro / vascular interventional radiologyResponsibilities include assisting with neuro and vascular interventional proceduresHoliday coverage is required as determined by the scheduling teamTravelers are prioritized for floating and must be willing to float within their scope of expertiseReturn travelers must have been away from the system for at least 6 monthsFormer staff must wait 12 months before returning as a travelerRTO requests may not exceed 7 days, and more than 4 consecutive days off may extend the contract lengthBlock scheduling or schedule restrictions cannot be guaranteed or requestedRequired compliance documentation must be completed prior to start dateAll mandatory orientation modules must be completed before beginning the assignmentRequirements
Current MD state license or Compact License required for consideration; license required if applicableRegistration with ARRT (R) requiredCurrent BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)Minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional radiology with a focus on neuro / vascular proceduresExperience as a first-time traveler will be considered if the skill set is strongTwo satisfactory professional references from recent employers are requiredMust live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligibleCPI Certificate may be required as part of complianceBenefits
