Position Summary : The Department of Anesthesiology at LSU is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Anesthesiologist for an academic faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor (non-tenure, clinical track). The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, education, and research, with a desire to contribute to the academic mission of the department. This position offers a unique balance of clinical practice, teaching responsibilities, and opportunities for scholarly activity.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide high-quality anesthesia care across a range of surgical specialties, including general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and subspecialties as per the candidate’s expertise.
• Supervise and teach anesthesiology residents and medical students in both clinical settings and academic conferences.
• Participate in educational activities, including lectures, and curriculum development.
• Engage in research activities with support for academic development, including clinical trials, research, or basic projects.
• Contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and evidence-based practice protocols.
• Share in call responsibilities, working closely with a collaborative team of faculty and residents.
