Job Title :

  • CAD Designer Location : Carrollton, TX Engagement :   Fulltime   General Description We are seeking an experienced senior SolidWorks CAD Designer to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing detailed models and drawings, managing Product Data Management (PDM) systems, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) using 3DExperience (3DX) platform.
  • You will play a crucial role in the design and development of our products, ensuring high-quality and efficient design processes.
  • Experience in setting up models for Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation in ANSYS is a plus.
  • Essential Job Functions Develop detailed 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks and 3DX.
  • Manage and maintain design data using PDM systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to refine product designs.
  • Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Document design processes and maintain accurate records.
  • Stay updated with the latest SolidWorks and ANSYS features and industry trends.
  • Manage, maintain, and interpret the Bills of Materials (BOM) Prepare drawings and wire diagrams as needed Set up CFD simulations in ANSYS to support simulation models to validate and optimize design concepts.
  • Required Qualifications Extensive experience with SolidWorks, including 3D modeling, PDM / PLM, and simulation.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with other CAD software (e.g.Creo, Solid Edge, AutoCAD, Revit) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in setting up CFD simulations in ANSYS.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • Skills Advanced SolidWorks 3D modeling and simulation.
  • Product Data Management (PDM) and Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems to include 3D Experience as a plus.
  • Technical drawing creation.
  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking and communication skills.
  • Experience generating photorealistic renderings a plus.
  • Proficient in setting up CFD models for simulations using ANSYS.
