CCS Certified Outpatient Coder

A company is looking for an Outpatient Coding Consultant to join their remote team.

Key Responsibilities

Review medical records and assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures

Maintain a 95% coding accuracy rate and meet site-designated productivity standards

Communicate documentation improvement opportunities and coding issues to appropriate personnel

Required Qualifications

AHIMA or AAPC certified credentials (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC)

2+ years of coding experience in a hospital or coding consulting role

Proficiency in coding specialties such as Same Day Surgery and Emergency Department

Experience in computerized encoding and abstracting software

Ability to pass annual HIPAA examination and other assigned testing
