Job Summary
The Ready Mix Inside Sales Representative is responsible for managing incoming sales calls and seeking new customers in his or her assigned territory. This position will find new sales opportunities, research customers and accounts, follow up with customers and build relationships, negotiate sales terms, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Review all bid sites twice a day to actively look for projects that are a good fit for the companyDevelop meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyaltyFollow up on cold and warm leads to further the sales processSet and meet sales goals and objectives set by leadershipClose the sales on assigned products and / or generate leads for outside sales staffAchieve monthly sales goals by following the set sales process with emphasis on proper qualifying the potential client, helping provide the best solutions for the client, and close the sale in a satisfactory mannerCollaborate with and support outside sales staffBack up other inside sales staff and perform clerical and administrative support functions as neededAnswer inbound calls and assist customers who have specific inquiriesMaintain records of customer interactions and transactions and record details of inquiries, complaints, and commentsMaintain the highest level of customer service while demonstrating a friendly and genuine demeanorPerform other customer service duties, internally and externally, as requestedRegular, reliable attendance at the worksite or assigned work locationOther duties and responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as neededQualifications
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED requiredAt least 2 years of sales experience in a sales or related role requiredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities
Concrete technical knowledge preferredCRM experience preferredKnowledge of local and rural geographic areas a plusKnowledge of local contractors a plusExcellent verbal, written, and comprehension communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude that fosters effective relationshipsAbility to read, write, and figure mathematical calculationsAbility to be professional and courteous when communicating with customersSelf-motivated, organized, and able to work independently without direct supervisionDetail-oriented and able to complete tasks and projects in a timely mannerAbility to greet and assist customers courteously on the phone or in personMust possess and maintain a valid driver's license with good driving recordWillingness to work nights and weekends as requiredPhysical Requirements
