Sr Advanced Hardware Engineer

Job Description

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Minnesota location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the company's growth and success by driving the development of innovative products and solutions that address the needs of our customers. Your leadership and technical expertise will be crucial in shaping the future of Honeywell and contributing to its position as a global technology leader.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage a team of hardware engineers to develop and deliver high-quality products.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance and efficiency.
• Lead hardware design and development activities for RLG electronics, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and component obsolescence redesign.
• Perform failure analysis, root cause / corrective action (RCCA), and qualification testing on gyroscope hardware to ensure mission-critical reliability.
• Automate and optimize hardware test processes to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.
• Author and present qualification reports and technical documentation to internal teams and external customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering groups to support RLG program milestones and continuous improvement initiatives.

THE BUSINESS UNIT

Mechanical Systems & Components provides a wide range of mechanical products and value-adding services to Honeywell Aerospace customers, including aircraft manufacturers and operators, and agencies of the U.S. government. The business develops and manufactures air and thermal systems, mechanical components, and wheels and braking systems. It also manages and operates facilities for the Federal government. Every 5 seconds, an aircraft lands with Honeywell Wheels and brakes. The entire fleet of U.S military fighters and trainers use Honeywell Cabin Pressure Systems.

Qualifications

The annual base salary range for this position is $131,000 - $164,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
