Job Summary
The Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) Department of Specialized Services is seeking qualified candidates for special education teaching positions within contracted schools. These teachers will deliver instruction to students with special needs, aligned with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) and tailored to the unique educational needs and developmental levels.
Teachers in these roles will serve students enrolled in MPS Charter and Contracted School Services, ensuring that instruction occurs in an equitable, inclusive, and multicultural environment and teaches all children to think deeply, critically and creatively. This position directly supports the MPS Strategic Plan, advancing the district's mission to provide high-quality education for all learners.

Qualifications
Applicants must have a current license from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction in special education (801, 810, 811, or 830) for grades 6-12, 9-12 or K-12.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
The teacher salary range starts at $54,386 and increases according to the set salary schedule based on education beyond the required bachelor's degree and previous years of fully-licensed K-12 teaching experience.
