Job Summary

Under the direction of the County Superintendent, the Chief Financial Officer plans, organizes, controls, and directs the business services functions supporting six small school districts under county fiscal oversight. The CFO ensures sound financial management, legal compliance, and efficient operations while providing leadership, fiscal oversight, and strategic direction to ensure long‑term financial stability and support instructional goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for multiple districts.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and county policies.
• Lead financial audits and coordinate internal and external audit processes.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to the County Superintendent and district leaders.
• Supervise finance staff and coordinate professional development.
• Maintain effective relationships with vendors, contractors, and community stakeholders.
