About The Position

Wellhart is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a 36-day locum tenens assignment in Florida. The assignment begins on 12 / 24 / 2025, with a schedule to be determined. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled emergency medicine physician to provide comprehensive care in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling a wide range of emergency medical situations. There is potential for extension beyond the initial 36-day period. The position requires proficiency in using the Meditech EHR system.

Job Responsibilities and Duties :

• Provide emergency medical care to patients of all ages and conditions
• Assess, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries
• Perform emergency procedures and life-saving interventions
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Coordinate patient admissions or transfers as necessary
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Meditech EHR system
• Adhere to all clinical protocols and safety standards
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
