Med / Surg RN Job Details

Location : Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York nursing jobs)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (June 3, 2024 – September 2, 2024)

Schedule : Day shift, Monday – Friday (no holidays)

Hours : 40 hours per week

Shifts : 5 shifts per week, 8 hour shifts

Healthcare Setting : Outpatient Medical Office Building

No on-call requirements

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,510 - $1,620

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State

At least 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Adaptability and willingness to learn new clinical skills in an outpatient environment

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Schedule and coordinate procedures (Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, Kidney Biopsies) and obtain prior authorizations

Manage outpatient infusions (IV iron, blood transfusions, IV fluids, and more)

Assist with in-office procedures, including TDC removal

Communicate lab results and coordinate patient follow-up care

Facilitate patient referrals (e.g., Davita / Fresenius) and provide patient education (Kidney Smart training)

Arrange genetic testing and medication prior authorizations

Set up venous mapping and support continuity of care for patients
