Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg night shift position in Illinois, requiring an active IL RN license and EPIC charting experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is located in a 36-bed med / surg / ortho unit in a hospital setting
  • 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 pm to 7 : 30 am
  • Float required to ED / ICU for care of medical holds only
  • Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 5 with CNA support, and may be 1 : 4 for primary care if staffing issues arise
  • Every other weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
  • No on-call or call back responsibilities
  • Utilizes EPIC for charting
  • Must be resilient, adaptable, and able to manage change effectively
  • Expected to be a hard-working and socially adept team member
  • Scrub color requirement is navy blue
  • COVID-19 vaccine is not required but this is subject to change
  • Orientation week hours may vary depending on unit closure during holidays

  • Active IL RN license required, no temporary or pending licenses accepted
  • Current AHA BLS certification required
  • Minimum two years of recent Med / Surg nursing experience required
  • Experience with EPIC charting system required
  • Ability to work independently and confidently in a fast-paced environment
  • Candidates must reside more than 40 miles from the facility
