Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg position in Illinois requiring an active IL RN license and night shift availability.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a 36-bed med / surg / ortho unit within a hospital setting
  • Patient ratios typically 1 : 5 with CNA support or may be 1 : 4 as primary care if CNA unavailable
  • 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 pm to 7 : 30 am
  • Required to float to ED / ICU for medical holds only
  • No on-call or call-back requirements
  • Work every other weekend and holidays as needed
  • Uses Epic EMR system; Epic experience is required
  • Care for med / surg and orthopedic patient populations
  • Resilient, hard-working, and adaptable individuals preferred
  • Social and collaborative team skills are valued
  • Scrub color requirement is navy blue
  • COVID-19 vaccination is not required at this time but is subject to change

  • Active IL RN license required; no pending or temporary licenses accepted
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years recent med / surg nursing experience
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Candidates must reside outside a 40-mile radius from the facility
  • Must be able to work confidently and independently
